Pennsylvania Council of Chief Juvenile Probation Officers
Interstate Compact News
Effective March 1, 2012, new forms are to be used for all interstate compact transactions. The forms are available on the Interstate Commission on Juveniles web site (www.juvenilecompact.org) in both PDF and Word formats. After registering on the site, you will also be able to access other publications and a well-developed training curriculum.
The Commission is in the process of building a national data base to be used by each state to process and track their interstate cases. The Juvenile Interstate Data System (JIDS) is a web-based application that each county probation office will be able to access and process transactions. A survey was sent out to all county probation chiefs by OCYF asking for information related to technical requirements to access the new system. The survey is to be returned to Susan Stockwell (sstockwell@pa.gov) by March 30, 2012.
